In pursuit of advancing the cryptocurrency landscape, the Pi Founders embarked on a mission to bridge theory with practical application. Drawing from their expertise gained during Stanford PhDs in computer and social sciences, they identified and addressed significant barriers hindering crypto accessibility and adoption. This led to the inception of the Pi Network, officially launched on March 14, 2019 (Pi Day), and has since garnered widespread community involvement.

Currently, a dedicated team of over 35 full-time members across the globe forms the core of the Pi Network. They are committed to empowering a large, enthusiastic, and globally distributed community in leveraging decentralized efforts towards shared objectives.
